Inspire Kicks off Annual Pajama Drive
Drive Aims to Make a Difference for Local Children in Need
Goshen, NY – December 4, 2019 – This year marks the 13th consecutive year of Inspire’s Pajama Drive for children throughout the Hudson Valley who have never had their own pair of pajamas. With the help of the community, the drive has grown into an enormous success. Last year, over 2,000 pajamas were collected and distributed to children served by local agencies. This year’s goal is to surpass that amount by the close of the drive on Friday, January 31st.
“This pajama drive would not be possible without the help of community members who have set up drop off locations and have set their own personal goals.” said Inspire’s President & CEO, Marcel Martino.
Anyone can help give “a good night’s sleep” to children in need by donating a new pair of pajamas, hosting their own pajama drive in support of Inspire (girl scouts, church groups, etc.), or making a monetary donation towards the drive. Pajamas for any season are accepted and all sizes are needed to provide pajamas for newborn infants through teenagers up to age 18.
Staff members and volunteers at Inspire work to distribute the pajamas to children served by local agencies including Inspire, Catholic Charities, HONOR ehg, Inc., Independent Living, ABCD Middletown School, the Warwick Migrant Workers and more.
Collection boxes can be found at all Inspire locations including Inspire Administrative Offices (100 Egbertson Road, Campbell Hall), Inspire Kids Goshen (2 Fletcher Street, Goshen), Inspire Kids Monroe (45 Gilbert Street Ext., Monroe), Inspire Kids Newburgh (344 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh), Orange County Chamber of Commerce (40 Matthews Street, Goshen), Verizon Wireless Zone (125 Hawkins Drive, Montgomery; 39 North Plank Road, Newburgh; 367 Windsor Highway, New Windsor).
All monetary donations are tax-deductible. Checks can be made payable to Inspire and mailed to Community Relations at 2 Fletcher Street, Goshen, NY 10924. Please note “Pajama Drive” with all donations.

Celebrating its 70 years of service, Inspire is a not-for-profit charitable organization, officially known as Orange County Cerebral Palsy Association, Inc. It provides a wide array of outpatient, educational, and support services for individuals of all ages and abilities. Inspire Kids is a special education preschool for children ages 2 ½ to 5 years of age with developmental delays. Inspire also provides day habilitation, respite, social programs and more. Through its many programs, Inspire impacts the lives of children and adults annually primarily in Orange County.
