Speech Services

Inspire’s Speech Department is staffed by New York State Licensed and American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) certified Speech-Language Pathologists. We are dedicated to addressing your communication needs. Inspire’s Speech-Language Pathologists offer evaluations and treatments for individuals facing difficulty in any aspect of communication. Our Speech-Language Pathologists are trained to assist people who demonstrate a variety of communication disorders including speech articulation disorders, apraxia, dysarthria, voice disorders, fluency disorders, aphasia, language disorders, and developmental disabilities. Anyone in need of communication intervention is eligible to receive speech services. Physical & Occupational Therapy

Inspire’s Physical Rehabilitation Department is staffed by New York State Licensed Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists, assisted by New York State Licensed Physical Therapist Assistants and New York State Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistants.  We offer evaluations, intervention within one-on-one treatment sessions, consultations with family members, the development of home programs, and recommendations for adaptive equipment.

Our Physical Therapy staff is trained in the treatment of various diagnoses of orthopedic and neurological origin, and developmental disabilities. Evaluation and treatment addresses gross motor performance, balance, ambulation, safety, and functional skills. Our Occupational Therapy staff is available for evaluation and treatment in the areas of fine motor performance, activities of daily living, safety, and functional performance and adaptation. Information about Occupational Therapy can be obtained from the American Occupational Therapy Association.

Psychology

At Inspire we work collaboratively within a team of professionals to help students achieve learning goals, promote positive behaviors and teach social skills. The staff meets with parents and teachers to discuss learning, behavioral, familial and social problems.
