Since 1950 Inspire has been serving the needs of those who need us most. We provide day habilitation, social and recreational programs, speech/language pathology and more. In addition, Inspire Kids, a special education preschool, serves students at locations in Goshen, Monroe, and Newburgh.

Maintenance Worker

Pay: $18.04 per hour

Maintenance Workers at Inspire Kids help ensure that all buildings and grounds across our Orange County locations are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Responsibilities include performing general and preventative maintenance such as minor plumbing, carpentry, electrical repairs, painting, playground and walkway upkeep, snow removal, and basic custodial support. The role also includes transporting materials and mail, assisting with deliveries and event setup, maintaining tools and vehicles, and responding to security alarms as needed.

This is a full-time position requiring travel between multiple sites. The schedule typically follows daytime hours, with flexibility for second shift or on-call coverage when necessary. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and a valid New York State Driver’s License. Maintenance experience is preferred but not required for a reliable and motivated candidate.

 

School Social Worker

Pay: $64,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year

School Social Workers at Inspire Kids provide social-emotional support to preschool students with developmental delays and special education needs. Serving as an active member of the Preschool Team, this role includes conducting social work intakes, collaborating with teachers and therapists to develop student goals, supporting families through CPSE and CSE processes, and maintaining detailed documentation including case notes and quarterly progress reports. The position also provides weekly clinical supervision to the LMSW, including review and approval of documentation.

This is a full-time, school-year position with an additional six-week summer session, based at our Goshen location. Candidates must hold current New York State licensure and registration as an LCSW. Experience working with children and families is required; PBIS experience and bilingual Spanish skills are preferred.

Pre-School Special Education Teacher

Pay: Salary based on experience

Special Education Teachers at Inspire Kids provide instruction and individualized support to preschool children with special education needs by planning and delivering developmentally appropriate lessons, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with classroom staff and related service providers. Teachers are responsible for maintaining a safe, structured, and positive learning environment that supports students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.

The role is full-time, operating within a 48-week school year that includes a 6-week summer session, Monday through Friday. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in special education and possess New York State Certification in Students with Disabilities (B–2), or a valid teaching license while actively working toward a master’s degree. A compassionate, patient, and team-oriented approach to working with young children with developmental disabilities is required.

 

School Nurse, RN

Pay: $63,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year

The School Nurse supports student health and wellness by providing professional nursing care, managing medications and treatments, and responding to illness or injuries. They ensure compliance with NYS immunization and communicable disease requirements, assess student health needs, and develop care plans that support learning and safety. The nurse also reports any school safety or environmental concerns affecting health. This role requires an active NYS Registered Nurse license, CPR certification, and experience in school, pediatric, community, or public health nursing, along with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Position: Full-time | Part-Time, 48-week school-year role (including a 6-week summer session) based in Newburgh, NY.

 

Education Director

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year

The program is seeking a New York State–certified Special Education Teacher with School Building Leader (SBL) or School Administrator Supervisor (SAS) certification to support the management of a multi-site preschool special education program in Orange County, NY. Working as part of a collaborative administrative team, this position provides oversight of curriculum, behavioral supports, related services, regulatory compliance, and program development for children ages 3–5 in both integrated and self-contained classroom settings.

Key responsibilities include overseeing classrooms and student programming, training and supervising educational staff, representing the program at school district meetings, participating in agency management initiatives, and providing limited teaching or classroom coverage as needed.

Qualified candidates must hold SBL or SAS certification, a BS or MS in Special Education or Early Childhood Education, and New York State Students with Disabilities or Early Childhood (Birth–Grade 2) certification. Candidates should have at least one year of experience as a Special Education or Early Childhood teacher and/or one year of experience in a school administrative role. Familiarity with NYS preschool special education regulations and OCFS daycare regulations is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time.

 

Senior Director of Education

Pay: $110,000 – $130,000 per year

The Senior Education Director provides executive-level leadership for Inspire Kids’ three Special Education Preschools in Goshen, Newburgh, and Monroe. This role directs educational programming, supervises staff, ensures regulatory and Medicaid compliance, and drives curriculum, professional development, and program improvement. The Senior Director manages school budgets, supports data-based decision-making, and fosters strong communication with staff, families, and community partners while promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Candidates must hold a master’s degree in special education or School Administration, NYS SBL or SAS certification, and have at least three years of experience working with preschool children with developmental delays. Strong regulatory knowledge, leadership ability, and proficiency with educational systems (such as IEP Direct) are essential.

 

Executive Director

Pay: $150,000–$200,000 per year

Inspire, part of the ADAPT Community Network, is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead its programs, operations, and strategic initiatives supporting individuals with disabilities. This senior leadership role oversees all organizational functions, including program quality, regulatory compliance, financial management, strategic planning, and community partnerships. The Executive Director manages Inspire’s senior leadership team, collaborates closely with ADAPT leadership, and serves as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors.

Key responsibilities include driving program excellence and growth, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, managing budgets and fiscal operations, fostering community and government partnerships, and supporting fundraising efforts. Candidates must have an advanced degree in human services or education (or applicable NYS certification/licensure), at least five years of nonprofit administrative leadership experience, strong strategic and communication skills, and the ability to lead diverse teams.

 

DSP- Day Hab

Pay: $17.27/hour

The Day Habilitation program is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live more independent, fulfilling lives. DSPs provide hands-on support with daily living, personal care, mobility, life-skill development, and community activities, including transporting individuals in agency vehicles.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid NYS driver’s license, and a compassionate, dependable attitude; experience with developmental disabilities is a plus.

The role offers full-time hours, paid travel time, and sign-on bonuses, with the chance to make a meaningful impact every day.

 

Teachers Aide

Pay: $16.28/hour

Teacher’s Aides at Inspire Kids support children with special needs by assisting with daily classroom routines, instructional activities, and behavior plans while helping maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment. Responsibilities include aiding with arrival and departure, toileting, meals, playground supervision, and preparing classroom materials.

The role offers full-time, part-time, and per diem options, with full-time employees receiving benefits and participating in a 48-week school year that includes a 6-week summer session. Candidates must have a high school diploma and a compassionate, patient approach; experience with children with developmental disabilities is preferred. Sign-on bonuses are available.

 

Substitute Teacher 

Starting pay: $33.00/hour

Inspire Kids is hiring per diem Substitute Teachers for special education preschool classrooms in Goshen, Monroe, and Newburgh, NY, starting at $33/hour. Substitutes assist with classroom activities, support children during arrival, meals, and playtime, and help maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment. The role offers a flexible weekday schedule; NYS Teacher Certification and experience with young children or special needs are preferred but not required. No benefits are included for substitute positions.
