Goshen, NY – The Inspire Foundation is hosting its Shining Stars Celebration to be held on Friday, October 14 at Villa Venezia in Middletown, New York. Honorees are Suzanne Schindler, and Janet and Tom Sullivan.
Inspire Board Chair, Suzanne Schindler, will be awarded the Mary Lee Berry Shining Stars Award for Outstanding Service to People with Disabilities. Suzanne is an active member of the Orange County community for many years. She is an advocate for children and adults with disabilities and has dedicated her time and service to many non-profits in the area. With her passion for helping people with special needs and their families, Suzanne exemplifies the mission of Inspire and is a fitting recipient of the Mary Lee Berry Shining Star Award for Service to People with Disabilities.
Janet and Tom Sullivan will be awarded the Bill Devitt Shining Stars Award for Exemplary Community Service to Orange County. Active community members, Tom and Janet Sullivan have been an inspiration to the Orange County Community. For over 40 years they have supported and volunteered for numerous charitable organizations and in the process have impacted the lives of many.
The Celebration will begin with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m. followed by dinner. Entertainment will be provided by the well-known, Jon Bates Band featuring Debbie Major. The evening will also feature a Silent Auction with a variety of baskets and items donated by many local businesses. Proceeds will support Inspire’s programs and services, which support individuals with developmental disabilities. To date, this year’s event is sponsored by The Middletown Elks Lodge, LEGOLAND New York, Drake Loeb PLLC, and Dale & Irving Zuckerman.
