Title School Psychologist Lead

Job Information

We are looking for an experienced, certified School Psychologist to provide leadership, supervision and student services within our special education Preschool program.

The School Psychologist Lead will supervise team of school psychologists and school social workers, provide psychological services to the children and their families, including initial and eligibility evaluations, provide intervention services to students through play therapy and other modalities of treatment and provide family counseling to the families of students.

Will also coordinate student and family support services and evaluations with Rehabilitation therapies (PT, OT, Speech) and with Education (curriculum, classroom supports, instructional teams) and participate as a team member for CPSE evaluations, including participation with School Districts’ CPSE meetings.

The successful applicant will have a Master’s degree in Psychology and a NYS certification in School Psychology. Experience with children with developmental disabilities and learning difficulties required and an ability to lead others in a team environment.

This position is for the school session which includes a six (6) week summer session in July.

Title Speech Language Pathologist

We currently have a full time Speech Language Pathologist position available in our Goshen preschool.

The Speech Language Pathologist will provide evaluation and intervention in areas of communication (speech, voice, language, fluency, pragmatics), oral motor function and swallowing. Will also recommend goals and objectives that are educationally appropriate and medically necessary, measurable, well-written and reflect the student’s intervention needs. Will administer formal and informal assessments appropriately, interpret the results accurately, and diagnose appropriately and exercise independent judgment in assessing students and in identifying appropriate treatment goals and strategies

Candidate must have Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology and teaching certification in Students with Speech-Language Disorders (TSSLD) or Speech & Hearing Handicaps (TSHH) and/or current NYS license/registration as Speech Language Pathologist.

Must also have strong verbal and written language skills, and demonstrated ability to work well within a team.

Title Habilitation Manager

We are currently recruiting for a full time Habilitation Manager. The Manager will be responsible for oversight of the Day Habilitation program and will assist the Director with the day hab development and oversight. Will also be responsible to attend or assure attendance at meetings and will write plans as appropriate to the individual’s service and assures that the required documents are obtained, processed and maintained for all service areas for which oversight is provided. Will be required to work a flexible schedule depending upon the demands of the position which might include weekends and evenings.

The successful applicant will have a Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services area. Knowledge of developmental disability systems experience working with people with developmental disabilities.

Supervisory experience preferred. Highly developed written and verbal communications skills. Must have valid NYS driver’s license.

We currently have an opening for full time Service Coordinator. The Service Coordinator provides case management services to eligible clients. Will interview prospective clients, on-site or off-site, to determine their eligibility and assess their needs, prepare all necessary forms, with client cooperation, to begin the eligibility process and follow procedures to ensure swift consideration by government agencies of the eligibility of the case. Additional responsibilities include act as the individual’s advocate before review committees, assist with the provision of services after eligibility determinations are complete and prepare records to ensure timely billing for services provided.

A Bachelor’s degree in Health or Human Services Field is required. One (1) year experience with individuals with a developmental disability OR Master’s degree in Health or Human Services field.

Title School Office Manager

The School Office Manager will provide supervision, direction, training and support for the coordination and management of the tasks of the Inspire Kids school office support personnel.

Responsibilities include supervising school office staff in all locations, including assigning staff, approving benefit time and payroll, assessing performance, and hire/fire recommendations and providing direction and training of support staff to ensures accurate and timely completion of tasks.  Will also ensure accurate enrollment of students and timely management of information to support service provision and billing and accuracy and completeness of student records, both paper and electronic.  The School Office Manager will function as global user and staff resource for educational software system, training staff as needed to perform tasks.

We are seeking a candidate with demonstrated skills with Microsoft Office suite and office management software systems and experience supervising employees including assigning and directing; office management experience preferred.  Must have strong organizational and leadership skills.

College degree preferred

This position will include travel to all Inspire Kids locations.

Title Direct Support Professional – FT & PT

We currently have the following Direct Support Professional (DSP) positions available:

  • Day Habilitation DSPs: Working in the community with individuals supporting them to achieve community integration and person-centered goals.
  • Community Habilitation DSPs: Part Time positions with day, evening and weekend hours available. Supporting individuals in the home and out in the community to achieve person-centered goals.
  • Wraparound Community Services (WCS) DSPs: Part time and full time positions, day, evening, and weekend hours available. This is an innovative program which provides intensive in-home and community supports for people with developmental disabilities and their caregivers.   • Respite DSPs: Part time positions, evening and weekend hours available to provide in-home support for individuals.

 

We are seeking energetic, caring and dependable individuals that will build relationships with the individuals we serve, both adults and children with developmental disabilities, to encourage independence and productivity, and a sense of community.

The DSP will be responsible for forming a strong, positive, and supportive relationship with the person participating in services and their support team. Services are delivered as determined by the individual’s Individualized Service Plan.  DSP’s will be responsible for required documentation and depending on the service, may be working in the person’s home, in the community, and/or may be working with other DSPs providing community-based recreational activities.

Experience with direct care and/or developmental disabilities preferred.

A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
