Title Supervising Physical Therapist

Inspire is looking for a Supervising Physical Therapist to fill a full-time, 12-month position.  Solid experience in service provision, highly effective peer communication skills, initiative in problem-solving, and strong time management skills define the attributes of this position.

 Basic Functions:  The Supervising Physical Therapist within Inspire provides discipline-specific supervision of physical therapy providers within outpatient, contract and preschool education settings. Expectations of this position combines professional service delivery with responsibilities for supervision, caseload management, training and team leadership.  This position reports to the Director of Rehabilitation Services.

Examples of the responsibilities of this position include, among others,

  1. Provide quality evaluation and therapy services for patients and Inspire Kids students, including compliance with plans of cares, IEPs, IFSPs and all necessary documentation.
  2. Provide discipline-specific supervision and mentoring of physical therapy providers
  3. Provide and assign UDO supervision of PTAs, including completeness of paperwork; provide or assign Student Intern supervision.


  • New York State license and current registration as a Physical Therapist
  • Minimum 5 years direct care experience in providing evaluations and intervention with children and people with developmental disabilities; experience supervising Physical Therapist Assistants preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written language skills, and demonstrated ability to work well within a team

Title Habilitation Supervisor

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are the people who work closest with the individuals we serve and provide them with the motivation, instruction and guidance to accomplish their goals at home and in the community.  The people most likely to succeed in this job have patience, are caring, are great communicators, ambitious, dependable and a solid work ethic.  Our Habilitation Supervisors work with the DSPs to train and nurture them, working closely with the Habilitation Manager to find each DSP’s strengths and to match them with the individual(s) and families that work best with them.  You can make a difference in the quality of life of people with developmental disabilities.

Inspire is committed to providing quality services and we believe that most DSPs can be successful with support from our staff, especially our DSP Coordinators, Habilitation Supervisors, and Managers.

We are currently recruiting for a full time Habilitation Supervisor. The Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of Community Habilitation staff by providing annual performance evaluations and field observations as needed.  Will ensure the integrity of Habilitation Plans as appropriate to the individual’s service.  Work as a team member to assure timely intake and submission of documentation needed to maintain, enroll, and/or remove individuals from services.


Will be required to work a flexible schedule depending upon the demands of the position which might include weekends and evenings.


The successful applicant will have a Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services area. Knowledge of developmental disability systems  and experience working with people with developmental disabilities.  Supervisory experience preferred. Highly developed written and verbal communications skills. Must have valid NYS driver’s license.

The School Office Manager will provide supervision, direction, training and support for the coordination and management of the tasks of the Inspire Kids school office support personnel.

Responsibilities include supervising school office staff in all locations, including assigning staff, approving benefit time and payroll, assessing performance, and hire/fire recommendations and providing direction and training of support staff to ensures accurate and timely completion of tasks.  Will also ensure accurate enrollment of students and timely management of information to support service provision and billing and accuracy and completeness of student records, both paper and electronic.  The School Office Manager will function as global user and staff resource for educational software system, training staff as needed to perform tasks.

We are seeking a candidate with demonstrated skills with Microsoft Office suite and office management software systems and experience supervising employees including assigning and directing; office management experience preferred.  Must have strong organizational and leadership skills.

College degree preferred

  • Wraparound Community Services (WCS) DSPs: Part time and full time positions, day, evening, and weekend hours available. This is an innovative program which provides intensive in-home and community supports for people with developmental disabilities and their caregivers.   • Respite DSPs: Part time positions, evening and weekend hours available to provide in-home support for individuals.


We are seeking energetic, caring and dependable individuals that will build relationships with the individuals we serve, both adults and children with developmental disabilities, to encourage independence and productivity, and a sense of community.

The DSP will be responsible for forming a strong, positive, and supportive relationship with the person participating in services and their support team. Services are delivered as determined by the individual’s Individualized Service Plan.  DSP’s will be responsible for required documentation and depending on the service, may be working in the person’s home, in the community, and/or may be working with other DSPs providing community-based recreational activities.

Experience with direct care and/or developmental disabilities preferred.

A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
