The main responsibility of Inspire’s Patient Services department is to make patients and visitors feel welcome until a provider assumes care of the individual. Patient Services sets the tone of Inspire’s outpatient clinic, as this department is the first point of contact for Inspire’s clinic guests.
It is always a wonderful feeling when a patient leaves Inspire’s audiology department and can hear much better; or leaves able to walk better, thanks to the help of Inspire’s physical therapists; or is able to communicate better with the help of Inspire’s speech-language pathologists. It is quite rewarding to experience this firsthand in Patient Services.
Among their many responsibilities, the Patient Services staff registers patients, verifies insurance information, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls and ensures superbills are complete.
