INSPIRE LAUNCHES "INSPIRED ALTERNATIVES"
INSPIRED ALTERNATIVES
Inspire has recently established Inspired Alternatives, a new corporation that will provide environmental modifications for residents of Orange County. Inspired Alternatives will provide modifications to an existing home to make the tasks of daily living easier, and staying at home a reality. Modifications may include, ramps, elevators, lift systems, bathroom modifications and the like.
Heading up the program is Ed Foddrill, long-time employee of Inspire and Vice-President of the new company. Ed has worked for Inspire for nearly 20 years, serving in many different capacities, most recently as the Vice President of Facilities. Ed attended training offered by the National Association of Home Builders to become certified as a Certified Aging in Place Specialist. The Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation program teaches the technical, business management, and customer service skills essential to competing in the fastest growing segment of the residential remodeling industry: home modifications for the aging-in-place. To date, Inspire, under the guidance of Ed’s expertise, has completed 24 environmental modifications, with six currently underway.
Inspire will continue to offer its EMODS (environmental modifications) program, which provides similar services for people in the developmental disabilities system. For those not in the developmental disabilities system needing a environmental modification, Inspired Alternatives will provide this much-needed service, while providing support for the non-profit Inspire.
To reach Inspired Alternatives, contact Ed Foddrill at (845) 294-8806 ext. 307.
